IPT Day Two ResultsThe sold-out crowds were treated to pool like they’ve never seen it before at the IPT King of the Hill Invitational 8-Ball Shootout in Orlando. Thirty players started yesterday, and only 15 advanced. Those 15 have been reduced to just six. “This is really exciting,” said Rebecca Roberts, a longtime pool fan. “I’ve never seen anything like this, with all the cameras and the top notch arena. There’s never been this kind of money in pool. It’s like a boxing prizefight.” With $1 million at stake, the Hall of Famers will join the six players who made it through today’s brutal competition to start the battle for the big money. Mika Immonen, Corey Deuel, Francisco Bustamante, Nick Van Den Berg, Marlon Manalo and Johnny Archer advance to the next round.

IPT King of the Hill Invitational 8-Ball Shootout Important Tournament Information ScheduleThis historic tournament is just a few days away and all involved are very excited. The tournament will be held at the Orange County Convention Center's West Building in the Valencia Ballroom. Play will start at 10:00am on November 30th, 2005. There will be five complete rounds on Day One for a total of 75 matches! Doors will open to the public at 9am. Day Two action starts at 12:30pm; doors open at 11:30am. Days Three Four start at 10:00am with doors opening at 9am. The final match will start at 1pm on Sunday, December 4th, 2005; doors open at noon.

Andy Segal Wins 2005 Comet ClassicAndy “The Magic Man” Segal won his fourth Artistic Pool championship at the 2005 Comet Classic, held November 18-20 at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ. 16 top trick shot artists came from all over the United States, Canada, and even as far as Russia, all hoping to bring back the title.Bruce Barthelette, APA league operator, and 2005 ESPN Trick Shot Magic participant, finished in the # 1 position after the preliminary round of 40 shots, followed closely by Andy Segal in the # 2 spot. In third place was the Canadian Nick Nikolaidis, who just came off a recent second place finish in the 2005 ESPN Trick Shot Magic. The fourth place spot was taken by local favorite Bill Meima, who won the title of World Jump Shot Champion this past January at the Bicycle Casino in California.
