10 K Tour Results at Bobby D’s by Willy Hermoza  Bobby D’s was rocking good this weekend of October 24- 25, there were 80 good players for this second event of The 10 K Tour. From Windsor, Buffalo, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Welland, St. Catharines, Waterloo, Barrie, Burlington, etc…they all came to Bobby D’s where Sue Lemaigh and staff made all feel very welcome. Nello Robson and Kenny Chen both room owners and representatives from the 10 K Tour where there to support first hand.
John Morra, from Toronto and pictured on left with Willy Hermoza, waited in the hot seat after sending Derek Claus to the one loss side, where he meets Roger Chau (Windsor) and finished third. Roger had put his machine in high gear to come back to the winner side for one more bite at the apple..…He meets John again and made a hill- hill game to win first round and try a second time. With everyone loosing at least once, the crowd was treated to a fine display of billiards and watch with genuine interest the finals between John and Roger, however this young gun named John Morra (aka) “Hot Stuff” (nicked by Willy) and deserving every little bit of that nick, showed to the cameras why and how is done. In a truly deserving match win, John Morra bested Roger Chau who demonstrated how fine and respectful of a competitor he truly is. John Morra made his parents very proud. Mario Morra and Anita McMahon have done all the right things with this rising star that the “Worlds” are awaiting. Graham Randall won the second chance tournament, while helping with the score keeping of the main draw…a difficult if not mind distracting issue. The next 10 K Tour events # 3 will be at Color Of Money Billiards in Niagara Falls ontario, October 13, 2004 (905) 353-1500.
