A Session o­n the SEAL Tour

Betty Sessions schooled the competition at J.O.B. Billiards in Madison, TN, in a SEAL Tour event.  The November 7 tournament saw Sessions finish undefeated for the first-place victory.

Sessions prevailed through the first rounds of the tournament to meet Joyce Dowden, a new face o­n the tour, in the hot seat match.  Sessions squeaked out a victory and waited for her final match opponent. 

Dowden headed to the semifinals of the o­ne-loss side to face Christy Norris, who was working o­n her own comeback.  Norris, who is a proven player o­n the SEAL Tour, won the close match and earned a spot against Sessions in the finals.

In the race-to-9 final match, Norris opened up a commanding 6-3 lead but watched as Sessions put o­n a clinic, winning five straight games for an 8-3 lead.  Norris, though, got another chance to go o­n the offensive and capitalized by getting four games back in her win column.  But in the decisive game, Sessions closed out the match for a 9-7 victory, completing the undefeated event.
