Because this stop o­n the  J. Pechauer Michigan Women's 9-Ball Tour was a Coors Light qualifier for the WPBA National 9-Ball Championships that will be held o­n November 19-23, 2003, at the Chinook Winds Casino in Oregon, both Abbink and Davis played their hearts out.  However, Abbink appeared to have capitalized more o­n the rolls that she got.  She gained a 5-0 lead, but then Davis steadily brought it up to 7-4.  She didn't win another game, for her opponent was too determined, and Abbink ultimately triumphed by the score of 9-4.
