ACS Board Broadens Dual-Sanction Policy by InsidePOOL Magazine

ACS Board Broadens Dual-Sanction Policy

ACA_LOGO.jpgThe American CueSports Alliance, the new non-profit national league sanctioning body, officially began operations on June 1, 2004, and is soliciting independent leagues formally sanctioned with the Billiard Congress of America as well as other leagues from throughout the United States to sanction.  ACS Board of Directors (composed of independent league operators from throughout North America) met on June 16 and formulated a more inclusive "Dual-Sanction" policy to present more choices to the players within independent pool leagues.  The following policy goes into effect immediately:

Leagues sanctioned with ACS may be sanctioned with any other national pool league organization on the same night of the week if it is determined by the ACS staff that the dual sanctioning is offered solely for the purpose of offering its players extra benefits and not for the purpose of undermining an existing ACS-sanctioned league within its area of administration.  Generally, such dual-sanctioning will be approved if rival leagues within a region are able to offer the same dual-sanctioning benefits to their players.

Additionally, the ACS National 9-Ball Championships will be contended at the Silver Legacy Hotel & Casino in Reno, Nevada, November 10-13, and the ACS National 8-Ball Championships will be produced at the new, downtown Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada, April 30 - May 7, 2005.
