In the women’s pro event, Kelly Fisher of England, who won the WPBA’s most recent stop in North Carolina, was ousted by Laura Smith 9-6.  o­n the winners’ side, Allison Fisher continues to dominate, lodging a 9-1 win over Sarah Ellerby.  Fisher will play Vivian Villareal, who won her match over Stacy Hurst 9-5, o­n Wednesday. 

The UPA’s number-one ranked player, Johnny Archer, is still going strong in the men’s pro division, scoring an 11-6 win over Sweden’s Marcus Chamat.  He will meet Sandor Tot of Hungary o­n Wednesday.  Tot met Tony Crosby, who was responsible for sending Earl Strickland to the west side o­n Monday, and won 11-4.  Germany’s Thomas Engert suffered his first loss of the event to Jose Garcia, who will play “Marvelous Marlon” Manalo of the Philippines o­n Wednesday.  Manalo dealt defending champion Tony Robles his first loss o­n Tuesday afternoon 11-9.
