Altamuro Escapes with Action Tour Win

The Action Tour returned to action o­n January 16 at Rack N Roll Billiards in Stamford, CT, with a small but competitive field.  Jeremy Altamuro pulled through as the victor, winning the single-elimination tournament over Sam Poulos.

The semifinals featured Altamuro against Jarred Clowery, while Poulos faced Joe Rumore.  Both matches were tight and each of the four competitors had opportunities to win their contests.  But it was Altamuro who came through with a 7-6 win, and Poulos edged out Rumore 7-5.

Poulos, who has faired well o­n the Action Tour, faced Altamuro as the favorite.  But he wasn’t able to gain the momentum, and Altamuro took the victory 9-4.
