Amateurs only - The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour
 The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour announces the creation of a new 9-ball tour for Amateurs only. The NEW tour will be dubbed the Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour and will start out with a format consisting of sixteen 1 day $500 added 9-ball tournament with its own tour championship event at the conclusion of the season. These events will only allow true amateur players to participate with a main goal of attracting new players to our sport.
The events will take place in pool rooms in Ohio, PA, WV, IN and MI. The tour will be directed by 16 year old Matt Janis. Matt gained his experience and recognition working with his father Mike Janis as a co-director on the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour and will be continuing a high level of prestigious
tournament direction and promotion in this new venture.
Matt Janis states the he is very grateful to the Hart family of Viking Cue Mfg., Inc. for providing the title sponsorship for this tour and together we are pleased to offer this format to the up and coming players in our sport.
Mike Janis said, " The Amateur Tour will be a compliment to our existing operations of the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour. Both tours will work hand in hand to bring our sponsors the highest levels of recognition in our industry. "
Mike Janis founded the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour in 1994 and with the help of the participating room owners and sponsors the tour has grown to one of the largest in the country.
