An Undefeated Miller Takes First in Georgia

Tony Miller sailed through a field of 26 other players to take first place undefeated at the Fury Georgia Amateur 9-Ball Tour's stop at the Pool Room in Marietta, GA.  The day was one of hill-hill matches, with a total of nine by the day's end.

The final match between Miller and David Trest was not one of those, however.  Miller grabbed a two-game lead but scratched on the 5, giving Trest ball in hand.  Running that rack out, Trest took the score to 2-1 in the final race-to-9.  Ending the next game quickly, Miller sent the 9 ball in on the snap and proceeded undeterred to the hill, gaining a comfortable 8-1 cushion.  Trest was able to get only one more rack to his credit to bring the score to 8-2 before Miller took the final rack and the win 9-2.

Results:
1st Tony Miller $425
2nd David Trest $250
3rd Floyd Reasons $170
4th Paul Song $95
5th Mitch Yardborough, Jim Jennings $50
