Duties of BCA board members include attending board meetings 4-6 times per year, serving on BCA committees, setting organization strategies and representing their respective membership category. Participation has a far-reaching effect concerning the future of billiards in North America and throughout the world. Details on board member duties are available upon request from the BCA National Office (719.264.8300) or on the BCA website in the "About Us" section on the "Staff & Board" page. BCA members may nominate candidates from within their membership category only. Each candidate must be a member in good standing with the BCA at the time of nomination and through the election. Persons wishing to submit a name for consideration by the Nominating Committee should submit the individual's name, company affiliation, contact information and a brief description of the person's credentials and qualifications. An individual may nominate himself or herself. Written nominations must be provided to the BCA National Office or to any committee member no later than Friday, February 13, 2004. All nominees will receive written confirmation of their nomination. Ballots will be mailed to BCA business members no later than Thursday, March 11, 2004, as required by the BCA Bylaws. Ballots must be returned to the BCA National Office in Colorado Springs, CO, by Thursday, March 25, 2004. Ballots may also be hand carried and cast at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the BCA General Membership Meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Elected board members will be announced at the General Membership Meeting, and the new Board of Directors will vote on officers for 2004-2005 immediately following the General Membership Meeting.
