The future of BCA Pool Leagues in Canada is assured by the launch of Canadian BCA Pool Leagues -- chartered to conduct the Canadian BCA Pool League Championships and to represent the BCA community of players and league operators across Canada. As of July 26th, the new Canadian BCA Pool League has received from BCA league operators the commitment of more than 7,000 members for the upcoming 2004/2005 season. o­nce submissions are received from all BCA leagues, the BCA membership in Canada will reach an all-time high.

The 2005 Canadian BCA Pool League Championships are slated for July 6 to 10,2005 at the Winnipeg Convention Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event will feature an anticipated $150,000 prize fund, plus a guaranteed $40,000 added. "We are pleased that our members in Canada will have a true national Canadian BCA championships and we look forward to developing more Canadian BCA events in the future. Our goal is to create and improve opportunities for pool players of all abilities through fair governance and equitable policies," said Mark Griffin, CEO of BCA Pool League. "We believe that our
inaugural Canadian BCA championships will be the largest and finest BCA event ever held outside of the U.S." said Shaun Pilfold, Director of Canadian BCA Pool Leagues.

All sanctioned Canadian BCA Pool League players and league members who qualify during the 2004/2005 league year will be eligible to compete in the 8-Ball Singles and Scotch Doubles events, as well as 8-Ball Team competition. The Team and Singles will offer Ladie's and Men's events with multiple skill divisions in each. Pre-registration will be through your local BCA league operator.

BCA Pool League members in Canada will continue to be governed from the BCA Pool League National Office, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new Canadian BCA Pool Leagues will represent the interests of Canadian players o­n the BCA Pool League Advisory Committee and will help build interest in Canadian BCA events, as well as the annual BCA North American 9-Ball Championships in Las Vegas and the BCA flagship event, the BCA National 8-Ball Championships in Las Vegas.
