Bell Captures Women’s 9-Ball Event at Windy City Open by InsidePOOL Magazine

pool_billiards_runnels11004.jpgThe men’ 9-ball tournament is ongoing, and after the smoke cleared on Friday night, only 5 players remain. Ike Runnels sent Mark Pratico to the one-loss bracket in a come-from-behind victory, while on the next table Chad Vilmont punished John Binion in a 7-0 display of wonderful pool, only to lose in the next round to Tom McClusky, who earlier suffered a loss at the hands of Bowman. Meanwhile, Donny Branson resigned Mark Dextater to a 7-8th finish.

Saturday morning’s card has Bowman and Runnels playing for the hot seat, with McClusky waiting in the wings for the winner of the match between Branson and Pratico.

The open and women’s 8-ball tournaments are underway, with no upsets through the first two rounds of the race-to-five events. Friday evening also saw the startup of the APA 5 and under handicap 8-ball tournament.
