Breaktime Billiards Owner Produces Feature FilmVincent Rocca has already built quite a resume. Not only has he built Breaktime Billiards, but he is also a 15-year member of the BCA. In the summer of 2004, Rocca decided to do something a little different with his slowest business time of the year. He wrote, produced, and directed "KISSES AND CAROMS," a feature-length film that is slated for a May 2005 release. The movie is currently on the film festival circuit and has already won Best Comedy at the Hartwick Film Festival. While many billiards retail stores add patio furniture and spas to their summer lineup, Rocca figured that he should put his backyard, Hollywood, into good use. "I had always wanted to make movies but instead fell into the billiards industry," Rocca said. "After ten years of building Breaktime Billiards into a successful retail store, it was time to follow my dream and make 'KISSES AND CAROMS' into a movie." KISSES AND CAROMS is about a girl who arranges a threesome to show her ex-boyfriend that she is his dream girl, but blinded by his penis, he believes their relationship is best left as friends. Through the antics of offbeat characters at a billiard pro shop, he realizes all his fantasies in her, but is it too late? "I wrote the movie at Breaktime between helping customers in January 2002," he explained. The movie contains many of the wacky situations Rocca encounters every day. "They say write what you know, and shoot what you've got, so I did. "We shot at the end of summer just before the season kicks off. This gave us plenty of beautiful California daylight hours and minimal customers." KISSES AND CAROMS stars Nicole Rayburn ("Playboy Babe of the Month," "Terminal"); Drew Wicks ("Scrubs," "3rd. Rock from the Sun"); Nikki Stanzione ("All My Children," "Young and the Restless"); and porn legend Ginger Lynn Allen, with a hilarious cameo as a randy housewife.
