Bustamante Crowned International Champion by InsidePOOL Magazine

In the second set of the finals, Bustamante jumped to a 2-0 lead, but Horsfall was determined to give him a run for the $50,000 first-place prize.  Horsfall won the next three in a row to take the lead at 3-2.  Bustamante got the next rack, but after his opponent sold out on a safety attempt, Horsfall found himself on the hill 4-3.

The next rack was electric, with a tough safety battle on the 2 ball ending with Bustamante lining it up with the 9 for Horsfall, who called it but barely missed.  on his way to the runout, Bustamante rattled the 5 ball in the corner pocket to the roar of the crowd.  With a 6-9 combo down the rail, Horsfall tried for it but missed, and Bustamante tied it at the hill from there.  Horsfall played out the next rack nicely, winning the second set 5-4.

Bustamante won the lag by a small margin and made two balls on the break.  From that point, there was never a doubt that he was going to run out the rack to become the next Champion of Champions!
