Crosby Clinches J. Pechauer SE Open Win Tony “The Sniper” Crosby showed up on the J. Pechauer SE Open Tour to win their one-day event at Veterans Billiards, which was held on April 18, 2004. A field of 32 players showed up at the $1,000-added event to vie for the top prize of $620. The Veterans Open 9-Ball Classic was hosted by Veterans Billiards of Port Charlotte, which is located on the west coast of Florida. It is a well-run family establishment owned by Jerry Romich, a native of Honedale, PA. Transplanted to the Sunshine State a dozen years ago, Jerry has been the proprietor of Veterans for 6 years. With the final match a thrilling single race to 11, Crosby worked his way through the one-loss side to meet tour director Tommy Kennedy in the finals. The match went hill-hill, but ultimately it was Crosby who stood in the winner’s circle after his 11-10 victory.
