Efren Reyes Wins One-Pocket Division at the DCC by InsidePOOL Magazine

After his match with Palmer, Reyes defeated Eddie Galati in the 9-ball and then went on to play Mika Immonen on the featured table.  This match was the precursor for things to come, for Reyes completely shut Immonen out, winning 7-2.

The final match saw Reyes face off with Marquez, a Chicago-based player who is proficient in all games.  Marquez seemed intimidated and played poorly throughout the match, making unwise decisions on key shots.  He took Reyes to the hill in their first game, which Reyes won 8-7, but from there it was all about Reyes.  He won the second game by the score of 8 to -1, and with a dispirited Marquez selling out in the third game, Reyes was able to win the last game 8-1, making a clean 3-0 sweep of the finals.

The 9-ball division will resume and conclude on Saturday, January 24, 2004, with ten players remaining.  Visit InsidePOOL for the latest in the sport of billiards and pool.
