Escalante Escalates for the Action Tour Win

The competition at the Action Tour at Rack N Roll Billiards in Stamford, CT, escalated to a new level when Alex Escalante earned a first-place finish in the month-old tour.  The event, held December 19, 2004, drew a small, but fiery field of players looking to bring their action to the tables.

The four players left for Sunday night's final matches included Escalante, Bogdan Ferendorych, Stan Uzar, and Joseph Coach.  Coach came through the west side and advanced to the semifinals by ousting Uzar. 

In the winners' bracket, Escalante met Ferendorych and knocked him the semifinal with a 7-3 win.  Coach then outplayed Ferendorych in a 7-5 win to reach the finals.  But Escalanted escalated his game even more in the finals to take the tournament 7-5.
