Ferguson Snares First-Ever Seminole Florida Pro Tour WinBy R.T. Mechling Billy Ferguson sliced through the competition en route to capturing his first-ever win on the Seminole Florida Pro Tour. A field of 61 players assembled at Player's Billiard Club in Melbourne, FL, on May 7-8 for the event that featured such notables as Rodney Morris, Tommy Kennedy, Rob Saez, and a host of others. Both Ferguson and Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall made their way through the stiff competition to a meeting in the hot seat. Hall easily took the match 8-3, sending Ferguson to the west side to face Josh Degler, who was coming off an impressive 8-5 win over Kennedy. Degler was unable to keep his good fortune going, though, as he suffered an 8-5 loss at the hands of the eventual champion. In the finals, Ferguson looked for revenge as he found himself across the table from Hall for the second time in the tournament. This meeting was for all the marbles, and Ferguson narrowly took his first title 9-7.
