Final Four at the WPBA U.S. Open by InsidePOOL Magazine

Defending champion Corr matched up with snooker sensation Kelly Fisher, recently arrived in the U.S., and defeated her 9-3.  She then went on to play Ga Young Kim, last year’s runner-up, and was sent to the one-loss side 9-7.

The hot seat match was between Kim and Herndon, and both players fought hard, but Kim emerged with a 9-7 win, sending Herndon to the one-loss side.

In the one-loss bracket, Melissa Little defeated Vivian Villareal 9-7 but lost to Kelly Fisher 9-5.  Fisher then met up with Allison Fisher and pulled off a 9-6 victory.  Jeanette Lee, sent to the one-loss side courtesy of Ga Young Kim on Friday evening, worked her way through Angelina Paglia 9-2, Ming Ng 9-5, and Hofstatter 9-3 before meeting Corr in the match for fifth place.  Lee earned a big lead, but Corr fought back and took the match 9-8.

On Sunday, Corr will face Kelly Fisher in the quarterfinal match.  Herndon will play the winner of that match, while Kim awaits the winner of the semifinals in the hot seat.
