Final Three Remain in BCA Open 9-Ball Championships by InsidePOOL Magazine

Tony “The Silent Assassin” Robles whipped through the winners’ bracket unscathed on Thurday, After sending Hawaii’s Rodney Morris to the one-loss side with an 11-8 victory, he dealt Santos Sambajon, Jr., an 11-9 blow in the hot seat match.  Robles will return on Saturday for the final match, which will be taped by ESPN.

Sitting pretty in the hot seat, Allison Fisher escaped several demanding opponents on Thursday, including Hsin Huang 9-6 and Julie Kelly 9-6 in the hot seat match.  Kelly was responsible for sending Karen “The Irish Invader” to the one-loss side after a nail-biting hill-hill match 9-8.  There Corr dealt defeat to Vivian “The Texas Tornado” Villareal in another tense hill-hill thriller before going on to meet Huang in the quarterfinals.  A relative newcomer to the pro scene, Huang gave Corr all she could handle before Corr pulled ahead to win the match 9-6.  Corr will have a rematch with Kelly on Friday evening in the taped ESPN match for second place, while Fisher awaits the winner for her Saturday afternoon match.
