First Pop Music CD About Pool

October saw the release of the MoHop MUSIC™ CD, “Night Angles”, which the Bristol, Connecticut parent company ClaviScape, LLC has described as the first and o­nly US pop music CD about pool, and possibly the first in the world, despite a pre-existing market of more than 200 million players worldwide.

Featuring the vocals of the young female duo, JeLL, the CD was, according to Miles P. Jennings, Jr., Manager of ClaviScape, LLC and founder of the MoHop MUSIC™ label, created to recognize, celebrate and further popularize the games of pool and billiards by “capturing the vibe of pool action o­n and around the table.” With a musical core that ClaviScape, LLC has trademarked as “MoHop”, the songs of “Night Angles” and the focus of MoHop MUSIC™ represent what Jennings describes as a new, upbeat and very melodic genre of pop music that “blends some of the best elements of classic motown, R&B, pop and urban music”, including solid beats, strong harmonies, upbeat melodies, punchy bass lines.

A trilogy, the CD presents the songs "High o­n Club Vibe"---with themes of "overdrive" and of "getting down o­n the green"; "What I'd Play"---inspired by the Ray Charles classic, "What'd I Say"; and "The Shooters"---what Jennings describes as "a fingersnapping snapshot of what happens when two guys and two girls have and meet a great match."

The October launch of “Night Angles” coincided with the launch of www.mohopmusic.com, the MoHop MUSIC™ website that Jennings envisages as being not o­nly the first, but also, as the genre gains popularity, the best “mohop” music Internet portal.  With an eye o­n the international market, especially in Korea, Japan, China and Europe, Jennings is hoping that the international image of JeLL and global appeal of the game of pool will translate, in any language, into big sales and big publicity for the sport.

Jennings is very hopeful, or as he put it, “MoHopeful”, because he sees “Night Angles” as ”a genre breakthrough, a unique mix of pool themes and as a collector’s CD---all for a price of $10 that includes free delivery anywhere in the world.”
