One new name has risen to the fore. Mario Tolentino (pictured below) of the United Arab Emirates blasted through Spain's David Alcaide 11-5 to keep the dreams of the UAE alive. He joins a cast of o­nly 16 players left in the field to continue the battle o­n Friday.

With two rounds being played today at the Fujairah Exhibition Hall, by the end of the evening o­nly four men will remain standing. Competition begins Thursday at 5:00 PM. The public is invited to attend.
