Garahan Handles Hampton Ridge Tour Stop

by InsidePOOL Staff

Pro player Teddy Garahan led the pack at the Hampton Ridge 9-Ball Tour stop at Castle Billiards in East Rutherford, NJ.  Held on May 21, the event boasted an exception field with players like Eddie Abraham, Joey Landi, Pat McNally, and Dennis Spears.
The stage was set to see who got the hot seat when Spears matched up with Garahan.  At the beginning, the score seesawed, but then Garahan took over, winning the match 7-4 and sending Spears to the one lost side.
Making a run from the one-loss side was McNally, with wins over Mario Sahatjian, William McGuire, Claude Marrier, Frankie Hernandez, Eddie Abraham, and Matt Krah.  He ended up in the semifinals facing Spears—in dead stroke, McNally took control of the match from the start and won easily 7-4.
The final match was a great one.  After Garahan drew first blood, McNally retaliated by taking the next five in a row.  Garahan held on, though, and came within a game to make the score 5-4 McNally.  His opponent only won two more games before Garahan went on a run, when it was all over he took the match 9-7.

 Results:

1st Teddy Garahan
2nd Pat McNally
3rd Dennis Spears
4th Matt Krah
5th Eddie Abraham
Joe Scott
7th Frankie Hernandez
William Marulanda
