For Schmidt the night was not a big loss. After his match with Hunter, he went on to win in the fourth round over Tony Nelson. The next round Schmidt found himself again winning in his match against Ronnie Allen. A table that always found spectators was the match between San Franciscan Billy Palmer and 2002 World Artistic Pool champion Mike Massey. Massey received his first loss in the event, but he came back to beat legendary Lou Butera in the fourth round of the one-loss bracket and Roger Estelle in the fifth round. Palmer went on to defeat Joey Gebron in the fourth round. Finally, one other player that caught some peoples’ eyes was 2003 Legends of one-Pocket champion Scott “The Freezer” Frost. He defeated Ed Ames in the third round and Hunter in the fourth round. There’s no Magic 8 ball that could reveal who is going to win the one-pocket event of the Summer Jamboree. But spectators won’t be disappointed on Thursday when these players compete for first place. Visit InsidePOOL for the latest news in the sport of billiards and pool.
