Shannon "The Cannon" Daulton emerged victorious in the semifinal match with Shawn Putnam at the 16th annual Music City Open.  Daulton started off strong, aided by his incredible break, and the match was quickly at 8-5 Daulton.  At this point, Putnam made his move after Daulton missed a bank o­n the 3 ball, tying the match at 8-all.  From there, Putnam scratched and was never really given much of an opportunity back in the game.  He left Daulton a shot o­n the 1 ball, allowing Daulton to reach the hill, and then Daulton ran out the next rack for the win, 11-8

The final match will commence at 7 PM Sunday and will be a rematch between Shannon Daulton and Gabe Owen.  Because the Music City Open is a true double-elimination event, Daulton will have to defeat Owen twice to win.
