Hernandez Victoriuos at Tony Costanza Memorial by InsidePOOL Magazine

frankshoot.jpgFrom there, Santos punched out before the final 16, but Hernandez won 11 straight matches on the one-loss side. Hernandez fought his way through Saturday to set up his miraculous feat. After sending several hopefuls packing, Hernandez arrived in the final four. Hernandez announced his membership to the final four by annihilating Jose Parica 9-0. He then provided an encore performance by squeaking out a thrilling 9-7 decision over Philippine newcomer Ronnie Alcano.

Hernandez proceeded into the final match with Gerardo Jamito. In the first set, Hernandez took a commanding 8-0 lead, only to relax and allow Jamito to the table. With ideas of a comeback, Jamito was able to fight back to win 5 games but Hernandez proved to be too powerful for Jamito to complete the near impossible feat. After winning the first set, Hernandez used his momentum to caost to an impressive 9-3 victory.
