Johhny Archer Repeats at the Predator Central FL Open by InsidePOOL Magazine

The next round had the reiging world champion against the formal world champion and it came down to the very end as Hohmann slid by Immonen in a hard fought 9-8 win. Williams out broke Morris with a 9-7 victory and then cruised through Hall 9-3. Harriman bounced back with a 9-4 ousting of Hohmann and then went on to hold Williams to a 4th place finish by 9-5 score. But Harriman took his 2nd loss to Bryant once again this time losing 9-6.

Before the finals started, the winner of the BCA Junior Nationals Qualifier was announced. During the Pro event, there were 3 amateur events in the other room run by Central FL TAP director Larry Giles. one event was held during the last day for the juniors. 14 year old Tampa native Mitchell Menes won the event along with a new Predator cue and trip to the Nationals in August.

The Pro finals were all Johnny Archer. Archer began with freezing the cue ball on the lag and then breaking and running the first 2 racks.  Bryant made an early mistake and damaged his tip in the aftermath. He changed shafts but was never the same while Archer played near flawless and rampaged the tables over and over till he won 13-3. Archer collected $5000 for the win and Bryant made $2500 for his efforts.
