Kennedy Chalks Up Another "W"By Bill Rosenberger The J. Pechauer Southeast 9-Ball Tour racked the balls at Kiss Shot Billiards in Coral Springs, FL, on February 5-6, and while the venue changed, the winner did not. Tour director Tommy Kennedy once again prevailed at the Coral Springs Open with a come-from-behind win over Tony Annigoni in the finals. The event drew 44 players from not just the local area, but from as far away at New York and California. And with them came enough skill to make this event no walk in the park. Kennedy and Annigoni both earned spots in the hot seat match with their commanding play on Saturday. The players kept it close in the early stages of the match, but a late rally for Annigoni sent him to a 9-6 victory. Kennedy then faced John Foster, who had just ousted Ron Park 9-6 in their quarterfinal match. But this time, by the same score, Kennedy rallied and overcame Foster to get back to the finals. In the final match, the anticipation was high that both Kennedy and Annigoni would put on a superb 9-ball performance, but that was far from the truth. Kennedy dominated the match in all aspects of the game from safety play to offensive power, winning easily 11-2.
