In the quarterfinals, Frank and Gay faced off, with Frank ending up victorious with a 7-3 score.  Gay also met Basavich o­n his way to the finals and was up 4-1, 5-2, and 6-3 before Basavich made a tough jump shot and then went o­n to tie at the hill, running out the last rack for the 7-6 win.  Basavich defeated Kevin England in the hot seat match and then waited for the winner between Gay and England.  Gay won his match against England, relegating him to third place and going o­n to face Basavich in the true double-elimination format.  While a hundred or so spectators looked o­n, he won the first set 7-4, but Basavich took control of the second set and put a 7-3 smackdown o­n Gay, sending him home with second place.
