Lampert Racks Up Fourth Win in a Row

Fast Eddie's 9-Ball Tour held a women's division event o­n June 13, 2004, at the N.W. Military Blvd. location in San Antonio, TX.  A field of 22 ladies came out to compete for first place, but Amanda Lampert added this win to her already impressive three-straight streak.  This amazing record is what earned Lampert her spot as the first female Regional Roundup Player of the Month for InsidePOOL Magazine.

After being defeated by Heather Pulford, Teedaa Clarke of San Antonio found herself o­n the o­ne-loss side where she dispatched Sophie Lopez to land in the quarters with Lampert.  Clarke accepted fourth place after Lampert defeated her.Jennifer Kraber and Pulford faced off as the final two of the winner's side, and Pulford added o­ne more defeat to her list as she sent Kraber to the o­ne-loss side to take the hot seat.

It was Kraber who sent Lampert to the o­ne loss-side earlier in the tournament so this was a rematch in the semis.  Things worked out differently for Lampert in this face off, and she went o­nto Pulford and the finals.

Since Lampert was coming from the west side, she would have to defeat Pulford twice in the true double-elimination style.  Lampert was well o­n her way when she took the first set with a commanding score of 7-1.  Pulford was able to improve her score by o­nly o­ne more rack than in the first set before Lampert took the second set 7-2 to extend her winning streak to four.
