Little's Record Continues to Growby KBP Staff The Fury Carolina Amateur 9-Ball Tour made its debut at Mojo's in Apex, NC, for its March 12 stop. The poolroom's first Fury event turned up 40 strong amateur players, making the stop a success.
Eddie Little, who found success himself with a win at the last event, looked to continue his dominance but was sent to the one-loss side in the fifth round by Kenny Wilson 7-5. While Little went to work on the left side, Wilson and David Brown were earning win after win to reach the hot seat match. After his sixth straight win, Brown advanced to the finals, while Wilson had to deal with Little in the semifinals. Little had easily ousted Johnny Griffin and Jimmy Faircloth to earn another shot at Wilson. The two battled through the first eight games to reach hill-hill before Little came through to win 5-4. At just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning, Brown and Little started their race-to-9 final match. After trading the first six games, the rolls started to in Little's favor. Already up 6-3, he snapped in the 9 off the break in tenth rack to extend his lead to four games. In the following game, it looked like Brown was about to get back on the board, but 9 rattled the corner after he tried cut it at a sharp angle. After Little nailed the hanging 9, he ran through the final game to win his second straight Fury event 9-3.
