McCreesh Shoots the Lights Out in Port City by InsidePOOL Magazine

Among the hopefuls who showed up, Grady "The Professor" Mathews was present but came one short of placing in the money. Of course, high roller Tony Watson was there and played very well. His first loss came from Derek Davis, who had him 8-5 in the race to 9 and watched as Watson climbed back to make the game hill-hill but ultimately lost 9-8. Watson's second and final loss came from tournament winner McCreesh. The hot seat match between Bullard (pictured), a local player, and Davis was another long match. Davis, an 18-year-old student at Sanford Lee High School, got up 8-5 on his opponent but ended up falling to Bullard in their hill-hill match 9-8.McCreesh, a player on the Joss Tour, was waiting for Davis in the semifinals, where he defeated him 9-5. Obviously charged by this win, he met Bullard head-on in the true double-elimination finals, defeating him 9-5 in the first set and 9-4 in the second and deciding set.1st - Ryan McCreesh $1,3502nd - Bruce Bullard $9003rd - Derek Davis $6004th - BJ Ushery $4005th/6th - Tony Watson, David Tickle $250
