Mizerak Banquet and Tribute Planned for U.S. Open

Plans are under way for "A Tribute To A Living Legend, Steve ‘The Miz’ Mizerak" presented by Barry Behrman. The dinner and banquet is to take place during the U S Open 9-Ball Championships. The dinner and tribute will be held at the Chesapeake Holiday Inn in Chesapeake, VA, Friday, September 10, 2004, 4:30pm - 6:30pm ET.

"The fans at the U S Open are my favorite fans anywhere in the world and I’m very excited about this tribute and look forward to seeing everyone," said Mizerak from his home in Florida. "The Miz" won the U S Open Championship in 1978 and enjoyed a fabulous career in professional pool as well as success in his cue and accessories business. He also found fame through a series of Miller Beer commercials featuring 'The Miz,' "Just Showin Off." The "MIZ" also mentioned that he just may play in this years U.S.Open.

A 30-minute video of Mizerak’s professional career and accomplishments will highlight the event. Steve will be signing autographs for all in attendance. Several Guest Speakers will share stories of Steve's accomplishments to the game.
