National Office Re-directs Efforts

Administrative change focuses on Marketing & Promotions

logo-green.GIFColorado Springs, Colorado: Industry growth in billiards has resulted in a number of changes to official governing bodies in 2004, including a recent administrative re-structure at the Billiard Congress of America [BCA]. Following a successful spin-off of its former in-house league program earlier in the summer, the BCA focused its national office staff on re-directed efforts in the areas of international marketing, promotions and improved member communications.

Among the new initiatives was the hire of the New York public relations firm, Alan Taylor Communications [www.alantaylor.com], to generate and sustain media "buzz" on the sport of pocket billiards. Drawing on experience with clients ranging from USA Track & Field and women's pro soccer [WUSA], to NASCAR and MasterCard, the firm will head up promotional efforts in the areas of corporate branding, image building and creative message delivery for print, television and radio campaigns.

Locally, Linda Mojer has been hired as the new BCA Communications Director, with responsibilities in the areas of website development, public relations and support to all phases of marketing and promotion efforts. Formerly the Associate Executive Director of the U.S. Racquetball Association, Mojer brings over 15 years of broad-based communications and national governing body experience to the BCA.

Among veteran staffers, new duties and titles have been assigned to enhance planned growth for the now exclusively trade-oriented organization. View a new staff and email directory at www.bca-pool.com "About Us."
