New BCA Pool League National Headquarters Nears Completion  The BCA Pool League staff completed orientation and training in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 22, and then transported the national office and archives to Las Vegas, Nevada. The league headquarters reopened July 26 with all new equipment in a temporary location in Henderson, Nevada -- located directly across the road from the construction site of the new permanent home of the BCA Pool League.
The new 6,500 square foot permanent facility is being built by BCA Pool League CEO Mark Griffin to accommodate the growing staff (now at 5) and expanding league operations. Upon completion, the headquarters will provide ample space for offices, a shipping & receiving department, and a generous area for storage and expansion. The first floor of the new operational headquarters will house the league offices, a communications facility, and the shipping department. The second floor is designed to be a multi-use area -- with a large conference room, plus a referee training & evaluation center to allow an on-going, hands-on evaluation of the current rules governing league play. The balance of the space is designated warehouse and will allow the immediate shipment and tracking of materials requested by BCA league operators and associates. "Las Vegas is the pool capital of the world. This new facility represents our commitment to the continued growth of the BCA Pool League and to encourage growing national and international visibility for pool," stated Mark Griffin of BCA Pool League. The new building is scheduled for completion prior to the BCA National 9-Ball Championships in November 2004. All league personnel (BCA, TAP, APA, ACS, etc.) and other members of the billiards community are welcome to visit the new BCA Pool League headquarters. BCA Pool League
