Nine-Ball Event Winding Down at Hard Times

By InsidePOOL Staff

CharlesBryant.JPGThe Summer Jamboree at Hard Times in Sacramento, CA, has wound down to eight players, all vying for the top prize of $5,000.  In the winners' bracket, Nick Kruger is playing Charlie Bryant (pictured), whose game has been dramatically improved lately with all of the events he has been placing in.  Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan, who defeated Shawn Putnam earlier, moved on to meet Ismael "Morro" Paez, a resident of Southern California and a local at Hard Times Bellflower.

In the one-loss bracket, Scott "The Freezer" Frost, who was runner-up to Santos Sambajon, Jr., in the one pocket event earlier this week, is battling is out with John Schmidt, fresh off his first-place finish at the Reno Open last week.  The winner of this match will go on to play the winner of the match between Dick Lane and Jerry Matchin, owner of Stix Billiards in Ventura, CA.

The 9-ball event will be down to only four players at the end of the evening, so stay tuned to InsidePOOL for more updates.
