Owen Looking Strong at the U.S Open by InsidePOOL Magazine

In the other winners’ bracket matches, Francisco Bustamante remains after victories over Nicholas Guimond 11-3 and Corey Deuel 11-3.  Bustamante will match up with former world champion Thorsten “The Hitman” Hohmann, who cruised through with wins over Jason Cruz 11-6 and Jose Parica 11-4.  Owen will meet Mika Immonen, who defeated Ronnie Wiseman in a hill-hill match and Niels Feijen 11-3.

In the one-loss side, 12 players remain.  Chris Orme will meet Erik Hjorliefsen, who sent Johnny Archer and Buddy Hall home early; former World All-Around Champion Larry Nevel will play Ronnie Wiseman, Ralf Souquet, who defeated Fabio Petroni earlier, will meet Efren Reyes, who had a great match with Jose Parica and won 11-6; and Canada’s Tyler Edey will play Earl Strickland, who defeated Young Hwa Jeong and Rodney Morris in the one-loss side.  Corey Deuel, Dave Bollman, Niels Feijen, and Tony Robles will play Saturday at 1 p.m. in matches to be determined at 11 a.m.
