Pandora's Box Victorious Again by InsidePOOL Magazine

Pandora's Box Victorious Again

By Denise Belanger

walsh, pasieka, summers.jpgThe Canadian Women's Pool Tour continued its VNEA 8-ball league on January 15 at Spectrum Billiards.  Each event, the competition gets tougher and this weekend in Markham, ontario, was no different.

"Hot Shots," the December 2004 event winner, again tried to flex their feminine muscles, but "Pandora's Box," with Leslie Pasieka, Jackie Summers, and Krista Walsh, stepped up their games and came out on top.  But it wasn't easy because a few other teams made sure they had their say.

Heading into the last round, "Hot Shots" and "Pandora's Box" were tied up at 9-all.  The "Hot Shots" were matched up against the "Sharp Shooters," while "Pandora's Box" faced "Kraft Dinner Deluxe."

In the first round of the final match, the "Hot Shots" snagged the win, but "Pandora's Box" fell in a tight match.  When both teams hit the third round, it came down to whichever one became victorious in their matches.  "Pandora's Box" unleashed their fury and showed why they will be a team to contend with all season long, winning the top spot over "Hot Shots."

Results:

1st Pandora's Box $550

2nd Hot Shots $200
