As the match unfolded, Parica beat Lane to the safety most of the time and held control of the table throughout the set. After playing near perfectly during the course of the match, Lane finally missed a ball late in the set. It would be the only balled missed by Lane, but a costly one, as Parica coasted to a 13-8 victory.
