Parica Sole Undefeated Player at Brunswick Pro Event by InsidePOOL Magazine

Szuter then went on to face InsidePOOL Magazine’s 2003 Player of the Year, Johnny Archer, in the one-loss side.  Archer, the defending champion of this event, swiftly sent him packing with a 10-4 win.  Canadian champ and speed demon Luc Salvas met Garcia in the one-loss side, and Garcia soon dispatched him with a 10-3 decision.  Both Salvas and Szuter tied for fifth place.

The hot seat match, the last of the Saturday match-ups, between Souquet and Parica, was a drawn-out battle between two cautious players.  Souquet slowly pulled to a 7-3 lead in the race to 10, but soon the table started going Parica’s way.  Souquet had a chance to close out the match when he was up 9-8 but scratched.  Hill-hill with Parica breaking, he pocketed three balls on the break and then ran out the remaining six for the 10-9 win.

In Sunday’s first match, Archer will meet Garcia in the quarterfinals.
