The defeated Putnam met Adam Smith in the semifinals and sent him packing with a determined 7-2 score, depositing Smith into third place. Now in the finals for his rematch with Adkins, Putnam showed no mercy. As the Viking Tour uses the double-elimination format, Putnam was forced to defeat his opponent twice to claim the title. He won the first set 7-1 and then was faced with a 6-3 deficit in the race to 7 in the second set. At that point, Adkins got too straight on the 5 ball he was addressing and drew it back to scratch in the opposite corner pocket, actually cutting it into the hole. Putnam sprang to life, taking that rack to make it 6-4 and then winning the next three games in a row to become the 7-4 victor. 1st Shawn Putnam $7002nd Dee Adkins $5003rd Adam Smith $3004th Hunter Lombardo $2005th Brian Halter, Tony Mougey $1207th Shane Manaole, Mark Vidal $909th Howard Vickery, Ben Zimmer, Steve R.
