Having won all three times he’s entered an event at Capone’s, Schmidt escaped with a fortunate roll, miscuing o­n the 7 ball and coming up frozen to it with Hall leading 6-5. While Buddy was eliminated by his second 7-6 defeat, Schmidt survived to face Josh Degler today.
