Sambajon Nets World Summit of Pool by InsidePOOL Magazine

After Strickland bested Harriman 11-6 in the quarterfinals, he met Davis in the semis.  Tied at 1 apiece, Strickland failed at a 5-9 combo and seemed unable to shake it off.  Davis won the next six games in a row to win the match 7-1.

The finals, a rematch between Davis and Sambajon, were filled with incredible play.  Davis took the initial lead, but then the two traded games, with Sambajon reaching the hill first.  In the final rack, Davis missed the 1 ball, and Sambajon was able to clear the table for his 7-5 victory.

Results:

1st Santos Sambajon Jr. $12,000

2nd Mike Davis $6,000

3rd Earl Strickland $4,500
