Santos Sambajon, Jr., Wins Joss Rochester Event by InsidePOOL Magazine

JarrodCloweryJoss.JPGIan Costello worked his way through the one-loss side of the bracket during the weekend to arrive in the semifinals and play Clowery for third place.  Clowery, who reportedly has been exceptionally ill throughout the event, suffering from chills and fever, pulled through and won the match 9-6, going on to the rematch with Sambajon.

The finals were tied 5-all when Sambajon, who won the Joss event two weeks ago at Spot Shots Billiards in Portland, Maine, caught fire and only allowed his opponent one more game before winning the final match 9-6.  Tournament director Joe Tucker reported, "His last break was as good as anybody in the world could possibly ask for.  Santos was rock solid."

Next week, the Joss Northeast Tour will be holding a $5,000-added event at The Color of Money Billiards in Niagara Falls.

1st - Santos Sambajon, Jr. $1,200

2nd - Jarrod Clowery $800

3rd - Ian Costello $600

4th - Mike Zuglan $450

5th/6th - Mike Minichello, Tom Acciavatti $275

7th/8th - Karen Corr, Jimmy Gilday $150
