Sherman Sweeps Hampton Ridge Parsippany Event

The fourth stop of the new Hampton Ridge 9-Ball Tour was held o­n May 29-30, 2004, at Bill Haley’s Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ.  It was strong field, with Josh Brothers going through the winners’ side with ease, defeating the likes of Christian Smith 7-3, Lee Holt 7-0, Carmen Lombardo 7-4, and Phil Sherman 7-2 in order to put himself in the hot seat.  Sherman was forced to take the long way to the finals, defeating Anthony Annibale 7-3, Corey Kappen 7-4, and Matt Krah 7-4 before his loss to Brothers. 
Now o­n the o­ne-loss side, Sherman had to get to work with a couple of rematches.  In the semifinals, he met up again with Krah, who gave a good fight but fell short 7-5.  Sherman proceeded to the final match, another rematch with Josh Brothers.  This time, however, things were different.  Sherman took control of the match from the get-go and easily defeated Brothers for a 9-5 victory.
