Six Players Remain in Vegas BCA 9-Ball Open by InsidePOOL Magazine

In the women's division, it was a familiar match-up between the WPBA's number one and number two.  Allison Fisher went up against defending champion Karen Corr for the hot seat in a close match that left Fisher the winner 9-7.  The matches for fourth place in both divisions were tight ones.

AllisonFisherBCA2.JPGMika Immonen, who defeated Nick Vandenberg 11-8; Santos Sambajon, Jr., 11-7; and George Breedlove 11-8, eliminated Archer in the last match of the evening 11-8.  Immonen will meet Souquet tomorrow evening at 7 PM in the match to see who will take third place and who will challenge Bustamante for first.  Helena Thornfeldt, the WPBA's number three-ranked player, started off her day in the winners' bracket but lost to Corr 9-4.  She then defeated Vivian Villareal 9-4 before matching up with Shin Mei Lui in the quarterfinals, winning that match 9-7.  Thornfeldt will play Corr tomorrow evening at 9 PM for the right to battle with Fisher in the finals.
