Spin City is Good to Singh by InsidePOOL Magazine

Spin City is Good to Singh

By InsidePOOL Staff

Romeo Singh must like playing at Spin City Café & Billiards in Queens, NY, because on Sunday, February 13, he captured his second Tri-State Tour win at the poolroom.  The weekend field wasn't huge, but the "B+"-"D" players that attended took advantage of every opportunity they had to display their talents.

Singh, though was the clear-cut favorite right from the start.  He earned five straight wins to reach the finals, handing defeats to Jim Manno and Bob Riley.

Singh's win over Manno set up the semifinal match between Manno and Riley, and each player wanted a shot at Singh in the finals.  But it was Manno who came out on top of the back-and-forth hill-hill match 7-6.

In the finals, Singh jumped to a quick 4-0 lead, but Manno's strong comeback brought him to within one game at 4-3.  However, Singh returned the favor, winning three straight of his own to collect the 7-3 tournament victory.

Results:

1st Romeo Singh
2nd Jim Manno
3rd Bob Riley
4th Ariel Rivera
