Stevie Moore Gets Greenville Viking Event by InsidePOOL Magazine

Ushery found himself matched up with Moore, who was working his way through the one-loss bracket, in the match for third place and not liking it, as Moore defeated him 7-4.  Moore then went on to play Randy Burris in the true double-elimination finals.  Burris has taken second place in the last two consecutive Viking Tour events, and unfortunately for him, nothing was going to change for him this weekend.  When the first set was hill-hill with Burris poised to run out, he miscued on a simple cut on the 6 ball, handing Moore that set.  The second set was more decisive, with Moore shutting out his opponent and winning the finals by the score of 7-2.

1st - Stevie Moore $1,800

2nd - Randy Burris $1,200

3rd - BJ Ushery $800

4th - Eddie Little $560

5th/6th - Ed Rolden, Brian Butler $340

7th/8th - Jeff Abernathy, Matt Bulfin $160

9th/12th - John Parks, Bruce Barrong, Michael Svkolnicki, JC Ramui $80

13th/16th - Dennis Killough, Jim Jennings, Joe Rockman, Steve Hollman $60

The next Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour event will be $1,000 added and take place at TJ's Billiards in Huntington, WV, on April 26-27, 2003.  The event originally scheduled to take place at Starzone Billiards in Norcross, GA, on May 3-4, 2003, has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
