The 4th Annual Predator Central FL Open Day 1 by InsidePOOL Magazine

The 4th Annual Predator Central FL Open Day 1

First day had very little upsets but a couple of notable matches.

JohnnyArcherPredator.jpg Rob Saez, #9 Seed in the event and current #1 Ranked on FL Tour, lost to an unknown 19 year old kid name Ben Zimmer his first match of the event. Saez then dropped his next match to Richie Richeson.

The Big story of the day was local Orlando player Julio Aquino upsetting the red hot ring game champ Cory Deuel. Not only did he win, but trounced on Deuel by a 9-3 margin. Even more surprising...Julio went on to lose 9-8 to Japanese Woman's Pro Miyuki Sakai.
Deuel was the paper favorite to play Immonen in the 3rd round on winners side, but now the Iceman will face Sakai instead.

The comeback of the day was made none other than #1 Seed Johnny Archer. Archer was down 5-0 to local Orlando player Josh Degler. Archer proceeded to comeback in this 1st round match to win 9-7.(Last year, Archer also drew Degler in the first round and trailed 7-2 before making a great comeback to win 9-7* now 2 years in a row)

Matches continue today with most of the top seeds facing each other including Hall vs Kennedy, Daulton and Harriman, and Williams and Martin.
