By InsidePOOL Staff

Things are heating up at Hard Times in Sacramento, CA.  Their Summer Jamboree 9-ball event has been narrowed down to six remaining players.  Earlier, the four players remaining  in the winners' bracket met to see who would proceed to the hot seat match.  Charlie Bryant defeated Nick Kruger 9-4, while Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan, who recently defeated compatriot Jose Parica in the Joss Tour finals for top honors, bested Ismael "Morro" Paez 9-3.  Bryant and Pagulayan will play on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM PST.

Scott "The Freezer" Frost was eliminated by John Schmidt earlier 9-5.  Schmidt, recently married, took first place at the Reno Open last week at the Sands Regency.  Schmidt and Kruger play to determine fifth/sixth place.  Dick Lane missed the case 9-ball in his earlier match against Jerry Matchin, who won 9-8.  Matchin and Paez will meet to determine fifth/sixth place as well.
